A median tuition of $11,283 annually is charged by colleges in the US offering online bachelors degree in sustainability programs. In recent years, there has been a 33.7% increase in the median tuition. In 2007, the median tuition at these online colleges was $8,440 yearly.

On the other end of the spectrum, yearly tuition in the range of $1,714 to $5,685 is charged by the cheapest colleges. The lowest cost accredited online sustainability bachelors degree schools are located in Idaho, Massachusetts, Mississippi, and Missouri.

From 2006 to 2011, the number of sustainability graduates with bachelors degrees from the least costly online colleges has increased by 18,611 graduates per annum. However, the percentage of graduates from these colleges has decreased.
Tuition ranging from $6,330 to $10,386 per annum is charged by other somewhat more expensive online sustainability bachelors degree colleges. Of the 16 online colleges and universities that have bachelors degrees in sustainability programs in the nation, 4 have tuition in this range.
In 2011, 137,688 students received their certificates from these cheap online programs. This represents 40% of the country’s sustainability bachelors level graduates. Only 5 years prior, in 2006, the number of students graduating from these colleges was only 41,624.
