From 2006 to 2011, the number of nursing graduates with bachelors degrees from the least costly online schools has decreased by 5,644 graduates per year. Also, the percentage of graduates from these schools has decreased.
Other somewhat more costly online nursing bachelors degree schools charge a yearly tuition in the range of $10,320 to $15,285. Tuition in this range is charged by 4 of the 17 online colleges that offer bachelors degrees in nursing programs in the country.
In 2011, 11,377 students received their credentials from these reasonably priced online programs. This represents 6% of the country’s nursing bachelors level graduates. Only 5 years prior, in 2006, the number of students graduating from these colleges was as much as 31,386. This is a 64% decrease in the number of students graduating from these cheap online schools.
