As most of you know, we changed our web presence from Frugal Dad to Affordable Schools Online at the beginning of this month. Over the past few weeks, we’ve kept the Frugal Dad identity on our social media — FaceBook and Twitter — accounts. In the coming days, however, our social media followers will see a switch from Frugal Dad to branding more in line with Affordable Schools Online.
The reasoning behind the change is largely to avoid confusion and create consistency across the board. We’ve noticed over the last few weeks, through comments and observation, that the difference between the names on our website and the names on our Twitter and FaceBook pages has resulted in a bit of bewilderment.
We respect and appreciate all your loyal readership of FrugalDad and your patience over the last few weeks as we better line up our branding with the site’s voice. We want to again reassure you that with the name changes on FaceBook and Twitter you will see little else change in terms of content or quality.
Loyal readers like you have helped us make the decision to be more targeted in our content. Refining Frugal Dad’s focus toward education and changing the brand to AffordableSchoolsOnline has been a great success. As part of the decision to refine the site’s focus, we think it’s important to not only offer educational commentary and resources on the site, but through social media, as well.
Trent, our Frugal Scholar, will continue to contribute to AffordableSchoolsOnline.com as well as interact with you through FaceBook and Twitter. As usual, our RSS subscribers, will continue to get updates and new posts without having to do anything different.
We are excited to have our social media “Likers” and “Followers” take a look at our new brand — we look forward to hearing what you think on FaceBook and Twitter!
